Haspin Acres
Roughly 45 minutes from Cincinnati in Laurel, Indiana, you'll find Haspin Acres. Spanning 750 acres, this area offers an array of trails for all skill levels through scenic wooded, hilly trails. Hundreds of acres are dedicated to simply free trail riding. Meanwhile, the area also features a dirt drag strip, two mud bog pits, a UTV race track, and a motocross track. The off-road area doesn't have any official trail markings, but you'll occasionally find arrows in place to guide you through the terrain. The buddy system is a good idea when visiting Haspin Acres, as you'll have to rely on a fellow off-roader to pull you out if you get stuck. However, there are staff members available to pull you out; it just may be a while before they find you, making it essential to visit with another vehicle. Haspin Acres also features a small restaurant, a portable automotive shop for trailside repairs, campsites, and even a pond for swimming and fishing!
Turkey Bay Off-Highway Vehicle (OHV) Area
Turkey Bay OHV Area is spread out over a whopping 2,500 acres and features over a hundred miles of primary, secondary, and tertiary trails, all catering to drivers of all skill levels. Primary trails are perfect for beginners and are marked by yellow blaze markers. The roads along these trails are maintained and offer less challenge than other trails in the area, helping new visitors get acquainted with the trails. Meanwhile, secondary trails are for intermediate drivers, marked by orange blaze markers. These trails are more challenging and more narrow in most places, offering more technicality to cater to riders with more experience. Secondary trails also serve as connectors between the aforementioned primary trails. Trails marked with blue blaze markers are tertiary trails and are the most challenging trails. They also serve to connect both primary and secondary trails.
What is the Largest Off-Road Park Near Cincinnati?
If you don't mind a bit of a drive, Leatherwood Off-Road Park is Kentucky's largest off-roading area and sits about three and a half hours from Cincinnati.
