Mark Williams Auto Group Brings Real-World Automotive Experience to UC Students

Mark Williams Auto Group recently returned to the University of Cincinnati to spend time with a group of freshman business students and give them a closer look at what happens behind the scenes at a modern automotive dealership. Charlie Watson, Marketing Director for Mark Williams Auto Group, and Josh Williams, General Manager of Queen City Ford and Vice President of Mark Williams Auto Group, joined the students for an afternoon conversation centered around the automotive industry, dealership operations, marketing, technology, and the business decisions that help keep a dealership moving. For many students, a car dealership may simply be viewed as a place where people shop for vehicles and have them serviced. However, there is an entire business operation working behind the scenes. Charlie and Josh walked the students through the many departments and responsibilities that come together to create the dealership experience. The discussion covered everything from sales and service to marketing, customer communication, lead management, and the financial side of operating a dealership. The students also learned how different departments depend on one another and how collaboration plays an important role in serving customers. Technology was another major part of the conversation. With artificial intelligence continuing to develop at a rapid pace, the automotive industry is changing along with it. AI is already becoming part of dealership marketing, customer communication, lead management, data analysis, and everyday business operations. For students preparing to enter the business world, understanding how quickly industries can evolve is an important lesson. The automotive industry is no exception, and today's dealerships look very different from the dealerships of previous generations. The students were engaged throughout the visit, asking thoughtful questions and taking notes as Charlie and Josh shared examples from their own experiences in the automotive business. Their classroom discussion will now turn into a hands-on business exercise. As part of their coursework, the students are developing a SWOT analysis of Mark Williams Auto Group. They will examine the organization's strengths and weaknesses while also identifying potential opportunities and threats facing the business. The opportunity is valuable on both sides. Students get to apply concepts from the classroom to a real company, while Mark Williams Auto Group gets the chance to hear fresh perspectives from the next generation of business professionals. Mark Williams Auto Group appreciates the opportunity to return to the University of Cincinnati and connect with students who are beginning their business careers. We are excited to see their presentations and hear what they discover through their SWOT analysis.

Fall Road Trips Around Cincinnati Are Better in a Jeep Grand Cherokee L

There is something about fall that makes you want to pack up the family and go somewhere. Maybe it is the cooler weather. Maybe it is the changing leaves throughout Ohio and Northern Kentucky. Or maybe it is simply the fact that after a long, hot summer, everyone is ready to get outside and enjoy the season. Working in automotive marketing, I spend a lot of time thinking about the reasons people choose a particular vehicle. Of course, things like technology, capability, comfort and space all matter. But sometimes, the best way to picture yourself in a vehicle is to think about what happens after you leave the dealership. For a family, that might mean a weekend road trip. A day exploring Cincinnati. A trip to a local coffee shop. A stop at a bookstore. A scenic drive with nowhere specific to be. For adventures like those, the Jeep Grand Cherokee L is hard to overlook. With three rows of seating, impressive capability, modern technology and the comfort families want for longer drives, the Jeep Grand Cherokee L is built for both everyday life and the adventures that make memories along the way. And fall in the Greater Cincinnati area gives you plenty of reasons to get behind the wheel. Start Your Fall Adventure Close to Home One of the best things about living in the Cincinnati area is that you do not have to travel far to find something worth exploring. A fall road trip does not always mean taking an entire week off or driving across several states. Sometimes, it simply means loading up the Jeep Grand Cherokee L on a Saturday morning and heading toward somewhere you have not visited in a while. Start with a jacket. Bring the family. Make sure everyone has a good playlist. And leave plenty of room for snacks. Fortunately,  the Jeep Grand Cherokee L has plenty of room for all of that. With three rows of seating, the Grand Cherokee L gives families the space they need for passengers while still offering the versatility expected from a full-size SUV. Whether you are bringing the kids, meeting up with friends or planning a longer weekend trip, extra space can make a big difference. Especially when everyone has to bring something. First Stop: Coffee in Cincinnati Every good road trip should start with coffee. Once you make your way into Cincinnati, there are plenty of local coffee shops that make it worth slowing down before continuing the adventure. Over-the-Rhine is one of my favorite areas to explore during the fall. The historic buildings, local businesses and walkable streets make it easy to spend a few hours wandering around without following much of a schedule. For a stop that combines coffee with another fall favorite, visit Iris Book Cafe. Part coffee shop and part bookstore, Iris Book Cafe offers the kind of atmosphere that makes you want to stay awhile. Browse the shelves, order a warm drink and take a break before getting back on the road. Fall and bookstores just seem to belong together. There is something about cooler weather that makes everyone want to find a new book, order a coffee and spend a little more time indoors. Of course, if you are traveling with the family, the bookstore might mean everyone leaves with something different. That is where the Jeep Grand Cherokee L comes in handy. There is plenty of room for passengers, bags, shopping and all of the things that somehow accumulate during a family road trip. Why the Jeep Grand Cherokee L Is Built for Family Adventures The Jeep Grand Cherokee L is more than just a larger SUV. It gives families the flexibility to handle everyday responsibilities while still being ready when the weekend calls for something different. Three rows of seating make it easier to bring everyone along. Available technology helps keep the drive connected. Comfortable seating makes longer trips more enjoyable. And Jeep capability means you can confidently explore beyond the typical city streets. That versatility is one of the reasons the Grand Cherokee L is such a great fit for life in Ohio. During the week, it can handle school drop-offs, grocery runs and the daily commute. When the weekend arrives, it can become your road trip vehicle. Pack up for a fall festival. Head toward the country. Take the family hiking. Explore Cincinnati. Or simply get in the vehicle and decide where to go along the way. That is what makes owning an SUV like the Jeep Grand Cherokee L so enjoyable. You are not limited to one type of adventure. Add a Bookstore to the Itinerary If your family enjoys books, Cincinnati offers plenty of places to browse. A bookstore is one of those stops that can work for everyone. Someone can find a new novel. The kids can pick out something for themselves. Someone else can find a cookbook. And somehow, everyone walks out carrying more than they planned. For a larger bookstore experience, Joseph-Beth Booksellers is a great destination for an afternoon. The bookstore offers an extensive selection for readers of all ages and provides plenty of opportunities to spend time browsing. It is also the type of destination where you can easily turn a quick stop into part of the day's adventure. One of the benefits of having a three-row SUV is flexibility. You can bring the whole family. You can bring friends. And you still have the versatility to pack for the day. Whether your cargo includes backpacks, jackets, shopping bags or a stack of new books, the Jeep Grand Cherokee L is designed to give drivers and families the room they need. Take the Scenic Route This is where I would encourage you to forget about the fastest route home. Fall is one of the best times of year to take the scenic drive. Ohio has no shortage of beautiful roads, especially as the leaves begin changing colors. Instead of immediately getting back on the interstate, find a different route. Drive through a small town. Look for a local farm market. Stop somewhere for a family photo. Find a park you have never visited. The best part of a road trip is often the part you did not plan. That is another reason the Jeep Grand Cherokee L makes sense for this kind of adventure. It gives you the confidence to go beyond your normal routine. Jeep vehicles have always been associated with adventure, and the Grand Cherokee L brings that adventurous spirit together with the space and comfort modern families want. You can enjoy the drive without feeling like you have to sacrifice practicality. Cross the River and Keep Exploring One of my favorite things about the Cincinnati area is how quickly the scenery can change. Cross the Ohio River and you can continue your adventure in Northern Kentucky. The views of the Cincinnati skyline from across the river are worth the trip on their own, especially during the fall. Covington is a great place to explore, and if your road trip has followed a coffee and bookstore theme, there is another stop worth adding to the list. Roebling Books & Coffee offers a combination that feels perfectly suited for a fall afternoon. Browse the bookstore. Order a coffee. Sit for a while. Or grab your drink and continue exploring the neighborhood. By now, your road trip might have turned into a full day. That is okay. The best weekends usually do. Make Room for the Whole Family As someone who works around vehicles every day, I know that families often have a very practical checklist when shopping for an SUV. How many people can it carry? Is there enough room? Will it be comfortable on longer trips? Does it have the technology we want? Can it handle our everyday routine? The Jeep Grand Cherokee L answers a lot of those questions. But beyond the features and specifications, there is another reason to consider a three-row SUV. It gives you more opportunities to bring people with you. More family trips. More carpools. More weekends away. More memories. Sometimes having extra room means the grandparents can come along. Sometimes it means the kids can bring a friend. Sometimes it simply means everyone has a little more space. And after spending a few hours on the road, everyone appreciates that. Fall Is the Perfect Time to Find Your Next Jeep There is never a bad time to explore what a new vehicle can offer, but fall is a particularly great season for the Jeep Grand Cherokee L. The weather is perfect for road trips. The holidays are right around the corner. Family gatherings and weekend plans are filling up the calendar. And having the right vehicle can make all of those plans a little easier. Right now, there is even more reason to take a closer look at a new Jeep Grand Cherokee L. Eligible new Jeep Grand Cherokee L models are available with up to $10,000 off MSRP or qualified buyers may have the opportunity to take advantage of 0% financing for 36 months. That gives drivers and families two great ways to make their next SUV more affordable. Whether you are looking for the flexibility of a three-row SUV, the capability that comes with the Jeep name or the comfort and technology you want for everyday driving, now is a great time to explore your options. Your Next Adventure Starts at Our CDJR Dealership At our CDJR dealership, we know a vehicle is more than transportation. It becomes part of your family's story. It takes you to work. To school. To the grocery store. To family gatherings. And sometimes, it takes you somewhere completely unexpected on a Saturday afternoon. The Jeep Grand Cherokee L is built for all of those moments. With three rows of seating, impressive versatility, modern features and legendary Jeep capability, it is an SUV designed for families who want to do more. This fall, take advantage of everything the Cincinnati area has to offer. Find a new coffee shop. Visit a local bookstore. Take the scenic route. Bring the entire family. And leave plenty of room for whatever the day brings. Then, when you are ready to find your next SUV, stop by our CDJR dealership and experience the Jeep Grand Cherokee L for yourself. With up to $10,000 off select new Jeep Grand Cherokee L models or 0% financing for 36 months, there may never be a better time to start your next adventure. Because the best road trips are not always about how far you go. They are about who comes with you.

Cincinnati to Red River Gorge Road Trip Guide: Exploring Kentucky in the 2026 Jeep Cherokee Turbo Hybrid

If you're looking for an easy weekend adventure from Cincinnati, few destinations are as appealing as Red River Gorge in Kentucky. Located roughly 125 miles southeast of Cincinnati, the Red River Gorge area offers dramatic sandstone cliffs, natural arches, hiking trails, scenic overlooks, and plenty of opportunities to get outside. The drive takes approximately two and a half hours, making it a great destination for a day trip or weekend getaway. And if you're making the trip in a vehicle designed for both everyday driving and weekend adventure, the 2026 Jeep Cherokee Turbo Hybrid makes an excellent companion. With its new 1.6-liter turbo hybrid powertrain, available 4x4 capability, spacious interior, and impressive fuel efficiency, the 2026 Jeep Cherokee is built to take Cincinnati drivers beyond their daily commute and toward their next adventure. Starting Your Red River Gorge Road Trip From Cincinnati The journey from Cincinnati to Red River Gorge is a relatively straightforward drive into eastern Kentucky. At around 125 miles each way, it's long enough to feel like a road trip without requiring an entire week away. Before leaving Cincinnati, take a few minutes to prepare. Check your tire pressure, make sure your windshield washer fluid is topped off, and pack water, snacks, hiking shoes, and weather-appropriate clothing. If you're traveling with friends or family, the Cherokee's generous cargo space gives you room for the gear you need. The 2026 Jeep Cherokee offers up to 68.3 cubic feet of cargo capacity with the second-row seats folded, giving you plenty of flexibility for backpacks, outdoor equipment, coolers, and other road-trip essentials. Why the 2026 Jeep Cherokee Is a Great Road Trip SUV The newest Jeep Cherokee brings hybrid efficiency to an SUV designed with adventure in mind. Under the hood is a 1.6-liter turbocharged four-cylinder hybrid powertrain that combines gasoline power with electric motors. Jeep estimates up to 37 mpg combined and more than 500 miles of total driving range on a single tank, which can help reduce the number of fuel stops on longer road trips. The Cherokee is also designed to make the transition from highway driving to outdoor exploration easier. The Jeep Active Drive I 4x4 system is available across the 2026 Cherokee lineup, giving drivers added capability when road conditions or the terrain becomes more challenging. For Cincinnati-area drivers, that combination can be especially appealing. You get the efficiency and comfort you want for the highway portion of the trip while still having the capability associated with the Jeep brand when you're heading toward your destination. Stop at Natural Bridge State Resort Park One of the most popular stops near Red River Gorge is Natural Bridge State Resort Park. The park is home to a massive sandstone natural arch and offers hiking opportunities ranging from relatively easy walks to more challenging trails. Natural Bridge is an especially good choice if you're visiting Red River Gorge for the first time. You can spend several hours exploring the trails, taking photographs, and enjoying the views without needing to plan an overly complicated itinerary. If you're bringing the family, give yourself plenty of time. A road trip doesn't have to be about rushing from one attraction to the next. The best Cincinnati weekend getaways leave room to explore at your own pace. Explore the Trails of Red River Gorge For outdoor enthusiasts, Red River Gorge is much more than a single attraction. The area is known for its sandstone cliffs, rock formations, natural bridges, forests, and extensive hiking opportunities. It is also internationally recognized as a rock-climbing destination. Some visitors come specifically to hike, while others simply want to enjoy the scenery and spend a day away from the city. If you're planning to hike, research your trail before leaving Cincinnati and check current conditions. Bring plenty of water, wear appropriate footwear, and remember that cell service can vary depending on where you are in the gorge. Hiking will build up an appetite, be sure to visit Miguel’s Pizza for a mouthwatering slice of pizza! Located in Slade, Kentucky and operating as a legendary hub for rock climbers, campers, and hikers for over 35 years, it serves custom thin-crust pies with fresh dough and a vast array of unique toppings Take the Scenic Route Part of the appeal of a Cincinnati -to-Red River Gorge Road trip is simply being on the road. Once you leave the city, the landscape gradually changes from urban and suburban roads to the rolling hills and wooded scenery of Kentucky. The journey is a reminder of how close Cincinnati is to some of the Midwest's best outdoor destinations. The 2026 Jeep Cherokee is well suited to this kind of trip because it combines a comfortable SUV interior with the efficiency of its turbo hybrid powertrain. Jeep says the Cherokee's hybrid system does not require plugging in; regenerative braking helps generate electricity for the system while you drive.  That means there's no need to plan your trip around charging stations. Fill up, load your gear, and head toward the gorge. Pack Your Jeep and Hit the Road One of the best things about living in Cincinnati is having access to so many destinations within a few hours of home. Red River Gorge is a perfect example: it's close enough for a weekend escape but different enough from everyday Cincinnati life to feel like a real adventure. The 2026 Jeep Cherokee Turbo Hybrid adds another reason to make the drive. With its 1.6-liter turbo hybrid engine, available 4x4 capability, up to 37 mpg combined, more than 500 miles of estimated range, and up to 68.3 cubic feet of cargo space, the Cherokee is designed to balance everyday practicality with weekend exploration.
