2025 Ram 1500 Engine and Drivetrain Options

As the automotive industry heads towards a more fuel-efficient future, so does Ram with the 2025 Ram 1500 engine lineup. Standard equipment remains the trusted Pentastar 3.6L V6, boasting 305 horsepower and 269 lb-ft of torque. That, however, is where the powertrain similarities with the previous generation end. In 2025, Ram does away with the larger, less fuel-efficient V8 engines. Instead, the all-new hurricane engine joins the lineup. This new engine, a 3.0L twin-turbocharged straight six-cylinder, comes in two power output levels, both offering more power and better fuel economy than the outgoing 5.7L V8. The standard output hurricane engine delivers a hefty 420 horsepower and 469 lb-ft of torque. While optional for the first two trim levels, this engine is standard for the Laramie and Rebel trim levels. Meanwhile, the Limited and Tungsten trims come exclusively with the otherwise optional high-output variant, which lays down an impressive 540 horsepower and 521 lb-ft of torque. Like the Ram 1500's previous generation, all models come with a TorqueFlite 8-speed automatic transmission powering the rear wheels as standard equipment. Meanwhile, 4x4 is the most common drivetrain in Ohio, as it is best suited for unpredictable weather.

What Else is New for the 2025 Ram 1500?

If you'd like to discover everything that's new for the 2025 Ram 1500, you'll have to come see it here at Mt. Orab Chrysler Dodge Jeep Ram. However, read on to take a look at a few of the highlights! The overall size and shape of the Ram 1500 remain the same in the 2025 model year. However, the front end looks larger, with an enlarged grille leaning slightly forward for a more aggressive, bold posture. Flanking the updated grille are newly reshaped headlights with now standard LED bulbs. The rear also features reshaped tail lights and LED lighting. The 2025 model year also adds new color options across the trim level lineup. An example of this is the newly available Diesel Grey Interior color scheme for the Big Horn. Meanwhile, the Laramie is now eligible for a Sea Salt Grey/Bison Brown scheme. The Rebel also gets an upgrade with newly standard black leather-trimmed seats with suede inserts and red accent stitching to match the strategically placed red accents throughout the cabin. Finally, the 2025 Ram 1500 Limited gains a new Black Ebony wood trim on the steering wheel and dashboard for an even more luxurious look and feel. Speaking of luxury, the all-new Tungsten trim joins the 2025 Ram 1500 lineup as the most luxurious truck in its class without a shadow of a doubt. The all-new Tungsten trim turns heads with an exclusive grille design, exclusive 22-inch alloy wheels, premium projector LED headlights, and much more. However, the most significant upgrades come from the cabin. These include but are not limited to 100% Natura Plus leather upholstery, a Klipsch Reference Premier audio system with 23 speakers, a largest-in-class 14.5-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen, a suede headliner, and 24-way power-adjustable front seats with heating, cooling, and massaging lumbar support.

2025 Ram 1500 Advanced Technology Features

The 2025 Ram 1500 is the self-proclaimed most technologically advanced Ram 1500 ever, and for good reason! In years past, the Ram 1500 came standard with a 5-inch Uconnect 4 touchscreen with basic functions. In 2025, however, the previously optional 8.4-inch Uconnect 5 touchscreen now comes standard at most trim levels. Meanwhile, a 12-inch touchscreen is available, while standard on higher trim levels, and a largest-in-class 14.5-inch touchscreen comes exclusively with the Tungsten trim. The new Uconnect 5 software comes with advanced technologies such as wireless Apple CarPlay/Android Auto, allowing you to seamlessly integrate your smartphone with the touchscreen without cluttering the cabin with a charging cable. Meanwhile, Amazon Alexa also comes standard, providing an in-vehicle virtual assistant that can be synced with an in-home Alexa device for both car-to-home and home-to-car functions. Other Uconnect 5 features include 5 user profiles, faster operating speeds, dual Bluetooth integration, Available TomTom navigation, and much more. The Rebel and all following trims feature a 12-inch fully digital gauge cluster for pertinent driving information. Meanwhile, a 10.25-inch front passenger interactive touchscreen is standard for the Limited and Tungsten trims for co-piloting functions. The 2025 Ram 1500 also uses technology to keep occupants safe, with standard features like blindspot monitoring with trailer coverage, adaptive cruise control with stop and go, full-speed forward collision mitigation, automatic emergency braking, parallel/perpendicular park assist, and more. Meanwhile, optional safety technologies include traffic sign recognition, rain-sensing wipers, drowsy driver detection, automatic high beams, cornering fog lights, front parking sensors, and a 360-degree surround-view camera, among others.
