2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee
Elegance meets ruggedness with the 2022 Jeep Grand Cherokee. Jeep has redesigned the 2022 Grand Cherokee with new features, including exterior touches, interior technology, and several new safety features.
Trim Levels (Exterior)
With exciting trims such as the Laredo, Altitude, Limited, Trailhawk, Overland, Summit, and the top-of-the-line Summit Reserve, anyone can find a 2022 Grand Cherokee that will suit their driving needs. One thing you'll notice about the new Grand Cherokee is the new design of the front of this two-row mid-size SUV.
The seven-panel grille has a slim silhouette bracketed by rectangular-shaped LED headlights, and helping to give this SUV a rugged look, is a dropped valance with large air scoops and integrated fog lights. Depending on the trim, wheel sizes run from 17-inch versions to flashy 20-inch alloy wheels found on the three upper trims. The off-road-ready Trailhawk trim comes with hefty all-terrain tires.
Engine (Power)
All trims of this mighty SUV come with a 3.6-liter V-6 engine with an output of 290 horsepower and 257 pound-feet of torque. If you want more power from the 2022 Grand Cherokee, your option is a 5.7-liter HEMI V-8 engine that has 357 horsepower and 390 pound-feet of torque. An eight-speed automatic transmission completes the powertrain for both engines.
Performance
Except for the Trailhawk trim, all the Grand Cherokee trims come with rear-wheel drive. The Trailhawk comes equipped with four-wheel drive, and the other trims can choose three optional Jeep four-wheel-drive systems for taking on rugged back-road trails. When terrain and weather conditions change, it's a breeze switching drive modes with the Selec-Terrain traction management system with auto, rock, snow, mud/sand, and sport modes. To help reduce drag on-road and to help clear obstacles in off-road situations, opt for the available Quadra-Lift Air Suspension system. You can easily tow a boat or trailer with the 2022 Grand Cherokee — when properly equipped, this SUV can tow up to 6,200 pounds.
Interior
You'll notice the well-appointed features inside of the Grand Cherokee. Up to five people will be comfortable in the two rows of seats, with plenty of room for everyone to stretch out their legs. Designed with luxury in mind, the upper trims of the Grand Cherokee have supple leather upholstery, available heated and massaging front seats, and a steering wheel that is heated and leather-wrapped. The dashboard is laid out so the driver has easy access to the steering wheel controls and infotainment system.
New for 2022, the available Jeep's Uconnect 5 NAV infotainment system comes with a 10.1-inch touch screen, and the passenger also has a smaller touch screen they can use. Apple CarPlay and Android Auto compatibility come standard with the infotainment system, as does Bluetooth and a Wi-Fi hot spot.
Safety Features
Jeep has added many advanced driver-assist features to the 2022 Grand Cherokee. Some of the new features include active driving assist, hands-free active driving assist, adaptive cruise control, and an active lane management system. You can also get a full-speed forward-collision warning with active braking and blind-spot monitoring with rear-cross traffic alert.
